UK 2017 General Election Quiz

Who Should You Vote For? is the easiest to use UK general election quiz, helping you to decide who to vote for and which party matches your views most closely. The post-manifesto version is based on key policies of the three main parties. We will update (and increase the scope) of this quiz as time goes on.

Note: this is the first post-manifesto version of the quiz (see FAQ) but we hope to add more party information soon.

There should be a second referendum to accept or reject the UK's exit deal from the European Union
Private house rent increases should be capped so that they rise no more than inflation
Four extra public holidays should NOT be introduced
The benefits cap (which limits the amount in state benefits that an individual household can claim per year to £20,000 a year outside London and £23,000 inside London) should be maintained
The winter fuel allowance should remain as a universal benefit
There should be a significant increase in the number of selective grammar schools in the UK
The Royal Mail, railway system and parts of the water and energy network in the UK should be returned to public ownership (renationalised), funded by tax rises
The voting age in the UK should be lowered to 16
Cannabis use and possession should remain a criminal offence
Income tax on people earning over £80,000 a year should be increased to help pay for essential services
Zero hours contracts should be abolished
People with assets of more than £100,000 should have to pay for their social care
Income taxes should be increased by 1% for all tax payers to help pay for the NHS and social care
The UK should continue to spend of 0.7% UK Gross National Income on overseas development assistance
The 1% cap on pay rises for public sector workers should be abolished
Student tuition fees should NOT be abolished
The rate of corporation tax in the UK should be reduced to help businesses grow
Work Capability Assessments for disabled people should continue
